I drove AJ to Tennessee Sunday morning to stay with her Dad for a few days. I took Curly with me thinking Son may stay a little more calm without her running around the house with him. After we dropped AJ off, we ate a quick lunch at Cracker Barrel, looked at the toys, and then drove the two hour trip home.
After Saturday's trip to the hospital, I was exhausted and sore. We all took a nap and decided to go back to see the light display again that evening. This time we parked and walked through the display area. Curly & Son loved looking at the displays.
There were elves in some of the display windows which really made her very curious. She wondered if they were friends with her elf and if her elf went there at night. And then there were these.
It was a neat little event they had set up. There was a petting zoo and the animals were all so calm and friendly. I think they'd have stayed there the whole night if we'd have let them.
I have no idea what got into me, but I decided to pick up a chicken! I guess I'm getting brave in my 40's! I just knew he was going to peck me but he didn't and he ended up falling asleep in my hands. That little thing made me want some chickens.
This girl loved the rabbits! She stayed near them the whole time.
We took a little train ride and shared a long awaited funnel cake before we left. We were all covered in powdered sugar when we left (even my camera strap).
Our little crash victim is looking a little better each day. His eyes and nose were very swollen on Sunday. He almost didn't look like himself. He is doing great though and recovering just fine. He's as cute as ever!
Can't wait to go back to this event next year!
