{ Boys }

We were finally putting up our Christmas tree Saturday morning.
Nothing like putting a tree up EIGHT days before Christmas!
We had actually waited because a certain little boy is into everything and we thought leaving it up too long would be very difficult.

Saturday mornings plans took a different turn though.
The Little Man was on a kitchen chair looking at the tree stand that was on the table and before we knew it he fell off the chair and the stand went down with him.
I knew immediately it was serious. There is that certain cry that is very concerning. And within seconds there was blood everywhere -- a lot of blood.

We got ready quick and off we went to the ER.
The ride that seems to take forever when you just want to get there now!
Oh, he was just so pitiful!

They put medicine on it to numb it before stitching it. The medicine had to stay on for 40 minutes. That was a LONG 40 minutes! He did tire out though, stopped fooling with it, and dozed off for a minute. The stitching part was so hard for me. I don't think he felt pain but he did not want to be restrained. Plus his eyes were covered. It was just in the worse possible place and no way to distract him from it because of it's location.

The Doctor worked quickly while a nurse held his head still and another nurse, Jonathan, and I held his body still. The minute they were done they brought him a stuffed animal and a popsicle and he was one happy boy. They gave him the popsicle and he said, "Danks!" They all kept commenting on how sweet he was. Every time a nurse did something for him he'd say, "Dank you!"

Here he is when we got home from the hospital.

You can't keep a good man down!
 It has not slowed him down a bit. He is running around like crazy and making me a nervous wreck! Occasionally, he will say boo boo or ouch, point to it and make a pitiful face, but other than that he is his usual happy self.
