My Birthday

Saturday was my birthday. Around holidays and birthdays, I always seem to be evaluating my life, feeling happy or sad about where I'm at, disappointed in things, feeling the need for changes, etc. But this year I was determined to not focus on the things I cannot change or dwell on the difficulties of this year. And this year has been a hard one!! Instead, I just felt so thankful for my life, for another year of life, and for all God has brought me through this year. A lot can happen from one birthday to the next. Amazing how life can take such sudden turns! But through it all, I am so thankful for God's grace and goodness in my life. I can look back and see all he has carried me through and how He has been my strength on the days I have had none. And above all, He is good! No matter what happens in my life, or the circumstances I face, HE IS GOOD!

Since we hadn't jumped in leaves yet this year, I really wanted to do that. That's how we spent my birthday morning! It was so fun, something I'll always remember, and we got some great pictures to remember it by too.

He didn't really jump. He ran, fell to his knees, and curled up in a ball!

Another really great part of the day is that I got to go to lunch ALONE with this handsome man. It was a long overdue date and very enjoyable!

Here's to 29 and another great year!
