Special Day Out

I got to have a special day out with this little cutie last Friday!

She really loves her special days and I really love the one on one time with each of them!

When she went for her four year check up a few months ago, the Doctor asked her what she likes to do and she told him, "Go on special days."

We started off the morning with a mini photo shoot.

After that we went to Kohl's. She LOVES the jewelry and make up section for little girls. Deciding what to get was tough for her because she wanted so much. She ended up getting a princess set of nail polish and lip gloss and a set of princess fake nails. 

After we shopped, we went to a tea room and had a cupcake. It is a real sweet little place. It was our first time and we decided we are going to have a special day there sometime with lunch, tea, AND a cupcake. Then she said, "What about Sunday? You think we can do it then?" We were talking about what a special place it was and how big girls get to go to special places like this. And she said, "What about Sonny Boy? He probably couldn't come here." NOOO..way too rowdy for a tea room! We are going to take him for a cupcake sometime though and sit outside on the park bench.

It is so nice to be one on one with my children. I am so glad we started taking them out alone for special days. Just listening to them without distractions and being together has been so enjoyable for me. And it is something they really look forward to also. 

Now Little Man is going on special days too. When we went out, he went with his Daddy in the truck to "Home Peepo" and then they got a popsicle. And he is still talking about his special day...."special tweet". They grow up too quickly! I'm treasuring all of these little moments!
