We made resurrection rolls for breakfast today.
They each put a marshmallow (Jesus) in butter (the embalming oils) and then covered it with a cinnamon sugar mix (the spices used to anoint the body).

Then we sealed the marshmallow inside a crescent roll (wrapping Jesus' body after His death). This was Little Man's favorite part. He wrapped the marshmallows in the rolls and everytime he'd hand one to me he'd say, "There's Jesus!" or "There's Jesus in tomb!"
Once the rolls were all ready we put them into the oven which represents the tomb.
They watched through the oven window and were so cute! When the marshmallows started bubbling out of the rolls, Curly-Q yelled, "Jesus is coming out!" and Buddy was saying, "Get Jesus out. I see him?" Then Curly started telling me how Jesus died for us and for our sins.
While we waited for the rolls to finish cooking, we read the story from Matthew 28:5-8 in their children's Bible.
And when they were ready, they were so excited about opening up the rolls and seeing if Jesus was still in there.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I now that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples. He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. Now I have told you." So the woman hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
