Happy Spring

Spring is here! 

It hasn't been nearly as exciting as it is after a very cold winter, but it still puts a spring in your step! My little dogwood has bloomed which always makes me smile.

I know it's small, but it's not nearly as small as it was six years ago when I moved here.  Yes, almost SIX YEARS! Hard to believe! That little tree brought me a lot of hope after my first winter here in 2006. I was so happy to see it blooming and everything turning green again that year.

I got a pedicure this week which is a great way to start Spring. And it only cost me $8.00, but she settled for 75 cents!

I repainted this old dresser for Little Man's room this week. We are in the process of changing his room into a big boy room! Excited, but a little sad. He's ready though. The room is going to be cowboy/western themed because as he says, "I'm a cowboy!"

Our powder bath got a makeover too! It was in desperate need of a paint job. You know how I just mentioned being here six years...yep, six years with flat paint and a little bit of crayon on. walls. It was not pretty! It looks like the same color as the dresser, but it's slightly different. It's called new brick. BIG change, but I really like it!

AJ saw this idea on Pinterest. She glued crayons along the top of a canvas.

Then used a hair dryer to melt them. It turned out really cute!

We have lots of projects going on around here these days. And I've started making my list of things to do with the kids this summer. AJ is on Spring Break this week then she only has 7 more weeks of school until summer. Summer will be here before we know it!
