What's that saying? One man's trash is another man's treasure? Well, isn't that the truth. One of our neighbors was throwing this away! Yes, this adorable sandbox was sitting at the street just waiting on the trash truck when I spotted it. And we had just been talking about getting one. I sent her a text and and asked if it was usable and if so I'd like to pay her for it. She told us to just come get it. So we did...
Then off to Home Depot we went to get bags of sand.
The weather has been perfect for playing outside! And I love it that it's on the deck because Little Man is contained and I can step away for a minute if I need to. I even exercised one day in the living room while they played. They've had hours of fun in it!
And what started out as really calm, fun play in the sand quickly turned into let's pour it on each other's heads. Just what I was dreading! They know now not to do that and have been having a great time together in their new sandbox.
I'm so thankful for the unexpected things God provides for us! Something that was trash to someone has been such a blessing for our family.
