Everyone went their separate ways on the third day of the trip.
My sister and her family went to Amicalola Falls. Friends of my parents that live nearby came to visit my parents. And my family went to Ellijay (minus AJ who stayed at the cabin with her cousins)
We went to Ellijay and walked around in downtown Ellijay.
It was so windy and cold and not very little kid friendly so we didn't stay too long.
For some reason, my little ones loved this lady!
And I loved the saying on this stepping stone.
A good reminder to live each day!
We ate lunch at the famous Poole's BBQ. It was featured in Southern Living Magazine in the late 90's. This is the Pig Hall of Fame on the hill at the restaurant.
We tried to get a picture on the hill and it just didn't happen.
Curly got hurt, The Boy was playing with my sunglasses and this all we got.
Jonathan was cracking up when he took the pictures! He said I am capturing our life right here! So true!
The kids had fun riding on the "old pig" as they called it.
It was a fun experience. The BBQ wasn't very good and it was way overpriced, but it was a neat little place. Next time, we'd probably skip the meal and enjoy the sights.
That afternoon, AJ and I went horsebackriding.
Don't you love our helmets?
Me and Grandpa ready to go.
The green helmet adds a nice touch!
And AJ and Shamrock who wanted to stop and eat the entire ride.
We also went to the park again that afternoon before dinner.
LOVE this picture of my Dad walking by the lake.
And Little Man had a ball in all of the sand!
My handsome men
My Dad and I
All of the kids played in the sand on the beach and loved it!
Especially mine. There are too many great photos of this to post!
And I have to give Jonathan credit for the sand pictures. He took them all and I will always treasure these!
My Mom and sister found of bunch of Halloween wigs on clearance.
It made for a fun evening at the cabin!
And God gave us this beautiful sunset on our last evening in Jasper.
This was the view from our living room.
