All of a sudden, we have an abundance of hummingbirds. I don't know if they are tankin' up for the winter or what. Maybe we are in for a long, hard winter and they know it. They are always at our feeder consistently throughout the summer but suddenly this week, there are so many. I've counted at least ten at the feeder at a time this week. The feeder full of water was empty in less than 48 hours the other day and then in 24 hours it was empty again! And one of AJ's teachers thinks we don't have hummingbirds here. Maybe we should invite her over!
Curly and The Boy love watching them while we eat meals. He is even noticing that we have so many more than usual. She got so excited yesterday because the birds were everywhere and fighting each other to get to the feeder. She said, "I LOVE IT! I love when they all hog it! Do you love it, Mom?"
