I started Couch to 5K last week! (If you click on the highlighted words, it will take you to the link). I have never thought I would be a runner, but I have heard so many good things about this program and thought it sounded perfect for me. Basically, it gets you from the couch to running a 5K in eight weeks or so. You just follow the program week by week and repeat weeks if you need to. What is exciting is that a few of my friends in Florida are doing it right now too. We'd really like to run a 5K together when we are ready.
I should take some before Couch to 5K pictures of myself and some measurements and then redo them after I've completed the program. I'm excited to see where this takes me.
Jonathan is doing it with me. He could probably jump ahead to the middle of the program now, but he is along side to support me. He times my runs while I listen to my ipod!
