It has been CRAZY around here! Lots of stuff happening and I haven't had a free moment to blog about any of it. So here it is....a condensed version of my thoughts and recent events.
High school is in full swing for AJ. Her schedule had to be changed on the third day of school because they didn't have her in the honors classes we had registered for in the spring. Unfortunately, when they changed it, she lost her Graphics Design class and had to choose between ROTC or Construction. She chose Construction and really loves it! Her teacher goes to church with us and is keeping a close eye on her since she is the only girl in the class. He told the class that she is his daughter and that they better be good to her! Being so mechanical, she is happy with what they are learning and in the workshop.

Curly-Q started dance at a new studio last week. She is taking ballet and tap and could not be happier! She was very serious about her first class and was so interested in what they learned. Here she is the day of her first class, 8/11/11.
(Good thing I have until the recital in May to figure out how to keep all of her curls up in a bun!)

This boy is all over the place! No more high chair for him. We moved him to a booster seat at the table. He kept climbing up onto the high chair and sitting on the tray when it was time to eat. He is lovin' being at the table with all of us. It's cute to look over and see him sitting there like a big boy. He especially loves that he can reach out and hold our hands now when we pray and he is always excited to say AMEN!
Both of the little ones had colds last week and he had a double ear infection. We just had to take a picture of him taking his medicine. He reminds us of a little bird.

I've put items in two consignment sales recently. A LOT OF WORK but worth the money! I've also shopped there for winter clothes for the kids too. You can imagine just how happy this little girl was when I brought this dress home.
And matching shoes....
And I love this cute rug I found for Little Man's room or bathroom (whenever it isn't a nursery anymore).

The hummingbirds are back which always makes us smile!

We've had lots of car problems lately! Last month, we had to put a new transmission in our SUV. The best part of that was that I got to drive this for three days...
And it was WONDERFUL to have the storage space, leg room for the Big Sis, sliding doors on each side, and to not have to lift a 24 lb. child and 34 lb. child high up into and out of their carseats multiple times a day. They just got right in themselves. Curly loved it and kept asking if we could keep it. Well, it was a nice little treat and I do believe my next vehicle will be a minivan. Someday....
Now J. is having trouble with his work truck and wouldn't you know it is also a transmission problem! And this is what they gave him to use while his truck is in the shop.
I have also had two flat tires within the same week. And it was the same tire. And when I say flat, I mean suddenly FLAT!
The first one had a huge gash out of the tire and we replaced it with a new tire. Then there was a valve problem with that one. Everything has been repaired and checked so hopefully we are good to go.

I went to the dentist today to get four fillings. My mouth was so numb. All except one of the teeth that needed filled. After two shots on that side and two shots directly in the tooth area, it still would not numb. It was painful! An hour and a half and seven shots later, I left with a very numb mouth and my fillings. Wow!

Life gets a little crazy sometimes. It is always something and sometimes it just all comes at once. But we serve a great God who has provided us with everything we truly need. He is so good to us!
