{ 18 months }

Our son is 18 months old! How can that be? It seems like it hasn't been that long ago that he was born, but then again I can hardly remember life before him. For the sake of remembering and having it documented, I want to post some things I want to remember about him at this age.

He weighs 24 lbs. and is getting into his 24 month clothing although his pants are still 12-18 months.

He's a great eater and wants to sit at the big table. Lately his favorite foods are eggs, pickles, blueberries and watermelon.

He prefers to play with random things that are not his toys. He can really make anything fun!

My hair dryer...

Kitchen utensils...

And his favorite, brooms and vacuum cleaners. Just give him a broom/vacuum and he will be busy for a long time!

He is a climber! He is on top of things in no time. Twice this week he climbed up on his high chair and was sitting on the tray when it was time to eat! Then he looks at me and giggles like, "Hey, Look what I did!" Time to move him to a big boy chair at the table I think.

When I try to take his picture, he either says cheeeeeessssseee and smiles or makes a funny face like this.

Or he squints his eyes at me and looks very serious like this...
(He has some major eyelashes!)

He and Curly-Q are really becoming sweet friends! They are playing together more and more and she thinks they are going to get married one day. He really loves his Big Sister and will always cuddle with her.

And no one can soothe him like his Daddy. He's happiest when he is tagging along with him.

He loves his books! He usually brings us his favorites to read throughout the day. Baby Einstein and Dora goes to the dentist.

I am sure that one day he will repay his sisters for this incident!

He is saying so many words -- mama (or he just yells MA!!!), Dada, Daisy, Ashtyn, Papa, Grandaddy, ball, please, thank you, uh oh, night night, up, etc.

He says the animal sounds for sheep, cow, dog, cat, duck, bird, tiger, and elephant. And when he does the elephant sound he raises his arm up like a trunk.

His nicknames are J---- Boy, Bubba, Bubsy, Boy, and we all seem to refer to him as Son.

He is an absolute joy and has brought so much fun to our home. I think we've all loved experiencing a little boy. He has changed everything around here for the better I think. He keeps us on our toes! We never know when a toy may come flying across the room and hit us. He is especially well taken care of by his sisters. Honestly, he is just a little charmer and quite funny and we love him to pieces!
