We went to Marshall's last week. I love their home decor, books, shoes, and toys. Although every time I find a comfortable pair of shoes there, they never have my size! They have some very unique toys at great prices. We found some lacing cards which have kept Curly very busy lately. She is excited that she is "learning to sew".
We also found some vocabulary puzzles. It is amazing how quickly she is beginning to recognize some words and matching them to the coordinating picture.

Big Sis went to a redneck bday party Saturday night. Lots of people, boys and girls, bonfire, cookout, etc. The boys went home at 11 pm. and the girls spent the night. They slept in the backyard in the back of a pickup truck! Umm...you might be a redneck if you are sleeping in the back of a truck. She wore a local BBQ tshirt, her jeans, and boots.

This summer we are redecorating AJ's room in black, white, and red with coca cola memorabilia. Her room needs a good paint job and we are trying to figure out what color to paint. Maybe gray? We've been collecting decorations as we find them. We stopped at a garage sale on Saturday and found these two picture frames.
I found this container on clearance at Kirkland's the other day.
(It is actually going to be her end of the year/congrats on finishing 8th grade gift.
I doubt she'll read this blog and see it.)
And we have our eye on several coca cola tin signs on ebay similar to these. The pictures are blurry, but you get the idea.

I've been busy cleaning out drawers, closets, and toys because we are having a garage sale on June 10th. Next, I'm going to tackle my closet and the kitchen. I saved the biggest projects for last! The garage sale pile is getting bigger and bigger! It feels really good to clean out the clutter. I think the only way I can stay on top of housekeeping is to simplify things.

The weather is like a yo-yo and very unpredictable lately! I did clean out all the winter clothes this week though. It is almost June! Surely we aren't going to have anymore cold fronts, right? The next kid's consignment sale is at the end of July so I need to start preparing all of my fall/winter clothes for that.

On Sunday, we went to church and then picked the tired redneck up from the bday party. She slept all afternoon and then we all went to our neighbor's bday party.
Can't believe he is three years old already!

This is the last week of school! After this week, I will be the mother of a high schooler. That just does not seem possible! Wasn't I just in high school myself?
