Little Brother had his 15 month checkup last week.
Like a big guy, he just walked right in with us when the nurse called us back. I felt sad all over again when I had to tell the Dr. he had knocked out two teeth since his last appointment. Over time though, it seems more and more normal - like this is just who he is. And when he smiles his big, silly smile and shows the big gap at the top, it is actually kind of cute!
He weighs 22.8 lbs. (25 percentile) and is 32.5 inches (75-90 percentile). He has grown two inches since his last appointment three months ago!
Son, you are busy little man! You are always on the go, chasing someone, running around the house, standing on the furniture, and climbing. Besides your lawn mower, I think this plastic rake is your favorite toy.
You play with it A LOT! It is the first thing you grab when we play outside and sometimes you even try to take it to the car when we are leaving.
Sometimes you even hold it while you eat.
You love to be outside. It doesn't really matter what we do outside, you are just happy to be there! Usually you don't play with the toys we bring outside. You prefer to drag sticks around, dig in the dirt, and eat leaves.
You love your Daddy. Wherever he goes, you follow. When he leaves, you cry. When he stands still, you want him to pick you up. You take turns drinking from his big water cup with him. You take a sip and then give him a sip and then you smile real big!
You are a great eater! You eat most everything we give you and blueberries are your favorite. You are eager to pray with us before meals. You hold out both hands so I can hold them, you are real quiet, and then you smile and say something when everyone says Amen.
You really love music right now.
You sing along to Dora saying "backpack, backpack" and you say "clap clap" when we sing If You're Happy and You Know It. You also have two signature dance moves now. One where you bend your knees and bob up and down and another where you tap your feet on the floor and sway back and forth.
You are saying quite a few words - Dada, Daisy, up, clap, backpack, quack quack, moo, bye bye and MOM! (You always say it real adamantly and you just say Mom)
You are so much fun and you keep us laughing!
You are so busy, but you also are so gentle and sweet. There has always been something so gentle about you. Sometimes you stop to hug me or cuddle and you especially love to cuddle up to your Big Sister.
You are our precious Little Man and you are growing up way too fast!
We love you, Buddy Boy!
