First Post

Here it is -- my first blog post! I've been thinking of starting a blog for quite a while. Then I have second guessed myself and thought I really don't have much to say, I'm not a great writer, etc. You know, all the things we say to ourselves that keep us from moving forward. But really, there is so much to say, so much to be thankful for and I want to start documenting all of those moments. And since all of our family members live out of state, I hope this helps keep them connected to what is happening in our day to day lives.

This post is a recap of the past few weeks. We are caught somewhere between Winter and Spring. One day we are enjoying the outdoors and the next we are bundled up again. Whenever the weather is decent, we definitely try to get outside for a bit.

Buddy's first try at mowing the grass.

Curly Q LOVES flowers!

Our raisin and banana picnic. You know who just wanted
to eat leaves and whatever was on the ground!

One Sunday afternoon, we took a drive to a local farm to get milk. I love that place! There is something about the smell of a farm that I love. When we have a few extra minutes, we get out and look at some of the animals while we are there.

She just loved that this cat was so friendly.
Yes, I think we have an animal lover on our hands!

A very cute, candid shot! When they grow up they
don't let you get their picture often enough!

One of our favorite things to do is a Chick Fil A picnic at the park. It is so refreshing to get out in the fresh air after spending so many days inside during the winter. It can make you get a little stir crazy!

He loved watching the ducks but then he
ran off to eat leaves and dirt.

It is so good to get out and feel the sun on your back (especially after too many days indoors). And the plus is that everyone usually takes a good nap afterwards!
