Pool Party

Last week we had a pool party with friends. It was likely our last of the season and possibly our last with these special friends.

It has been cooler at night lately so the water was a little chilly. But that didn't stop anyone...except for our little guy. He prefers to walk around the pool, play with water guns, hoses, pool vacuums, etc. We were at Ashley's in-law's house and I told my children that it was their friend's grandma's house. Every time Little Man wanted something he'd ask, "Can I use Grandma's hose?" and "Where's Grandma?" It was like he knew her. And since Ashley's kids don't call her Grandma they were pretty confused about who he was talking about. It was pretty funny!

Our girl has made SO much progress with swimming this summer! She still thinks that if she can't touch that she can't swim so she depends on her float at times. She jumps off the diving board and does anything in the water as long as she has that float!
