After a fun Memorial Day weekend, strep throat hit us hard and fast this week! I was at the urgent care clinic with Curly on Wednesday morning and by Friday morning Little Man made a trip there also. Usually if one gets it the other will definitely get it!
Curly likes taking a trip to see the Doctor. After the nurse checked her over and left she said, "Mom, why is she wearing her pajamas today?" She was talking about her scrubs.
Little Man was nervous about going to the Dr. and kept saying, "I don't have to get stitches??? I won't fall off that chair!" Once we were there and he realized the Dr. was just checking his throat and ears, he relaxed and started talking her ear off. And the nurse was wearing Buzz Lightyear scrubs which he loved. When I told the nurse he had run a high fever all night, he said, "I cried in my bed!" and "I throwed up on my Daddy!".
After lots of ibuprofen, tylenol, popsicles, cool fever patches, and some strong antibiotics, they both woke up fever free and very hungry today! So glad they are feeling better!
