Easter Sunday

What a beautiful morning with so much to celebrate!
HE IS RISEN!

We took a few pictures before church.
I love seeing the three of  them all dressed up together!

We had two services today and we all went to the first service together.
The best news EVER....

AJ and I stayed for the second service to serve in the children's ministry. She ended up helping me in my classroom today and it was nice to be together. She is usually in with the infants and babies.

After lunch and naps, we finally celebrated the day together.

{Waiting for the egg hunt}

Curly was really sweet and helped her brother so much. She didn't rush to get the eggs, but let him get some before her and helped him find some along the way. We were really proud of her for being so kind.

Not that he needed any help really. If I pointed him in the direction of an egg, he'd run to it and say, "Oh, I missed it. I'm sorry!"

After the egg hunt, they put the money from their eggs in their piggy banks and then it was time for dinner, pot roast, vegetables, and biscuits.

What a miraculous day we celebrate! What a wonderful Saviour!
I love the Matt Maher song we sang today in church. It sums it all up perfectly!
Here's the link to the video of Come Awake.

Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
We fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love

And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but Heaven's will
No scheme of Hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down

In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night

Sing it, o death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead, He's alive, He's alive
