Curly-Q and Little Man had their two and four year old checkups Monday. All of the pictures I took were with my phone so they aren't very clear.
They relaxed in the kid size recliners and watched a movie in the waiting room before the nurse called us back.
Curly went first. They asked her a lot of questions and she very seriously answered each one while her brother piped in his comments along the way. She said she likes to ride her bike and he said BICYCLE! So funny! She passed her vision and hearing test perfectly and is right where she should be as a four year old. Her tubes are still in also. She weighs 37 lbs. and is 41 inches tall. Seventy-fifth percentile in both.
Little Man was anxious for his turn. He was talking the Doctors ear off and the Dr. just kept giggling at him. He checked out just fine too. He does have eczema on his back and chest and the Dr. gave me some suggestions for treatment. As the Dr. was checking him over, he started belting out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in his best voice and sang it all the way through. He was pretty impressed with himself! He weighed 27 lbs. (just below 75 percentile) and is 36.5 inches tall (90%) which made his Daddy very happy!
We ate lunch at our favorite, Jason's Deli, after the appointment. It's a great treat that we only get a couple times a year. They both love the fruit with yogurt dip!
Then we went to Trader Joe's for some groceries. And like a crazy woman I agreed to let them both push the little carts again! They love it, but Little Man gets so involved in pushing and looking down at his own feet that everyone in his path is in danger. I'm sure they were glad when we got out of there!
I always hope they'll sleep on the drive home after a long day in the city, but it doesn't always happen. I didn't even mention them sleeping yesterday because I was sure they probably wouldn't. I was just driving along and looked back and saw this.
She was gone! I'm talking gone as in head bobbing and all! She even continued sleeping in the car for a while after we got home.
And this little guy....well, he has way too much to do to sleep!
(Which made for a very fun evening!)
We're so thankful for healthy children! No medical issues, both are strong and right on track! And we don't have to go back until they are three and five years old!
