Sonny Boy

Oh...this boy! He is soooo cute and so charming!
I mean - is he handsome or what?
Every time I ask, Are you handsome?
He says, "Nooooo! I'm ----- (and says his name!)"

Mr. Handsome is wearing me out these days! He has decided that 5:45 is a great time to wake up every morning. It's like kids have a built in alarm clock. And most days he fights his nap and sleeps about 45 minutes max. Needless to say, the days are very long lately.

Do you recognize this scene from a movie?

Yes, Polar Express. He LOVES it! We watch it at least a few times a week and he asks to "Watch Polar Express" at least a couple times per hour. "Watz Pola Spress, watz Pola Spress, watz Pola Spress now." He even sings along to the hot, hot, hot, hot chocolate part.

He's a great fire builder. He loves to help us bring in firewood and get the fireplace ready. Lately he has not been happy because the pieces of wood have been too big and "too haybee" (heavy) for him to carry. He is like his Mommy. We like to build a fire and keep it going throughout the day. Early morning fires are so nice! And if I say so myself...he and I are getting pretty good at it.

He is often found like this no matter how cold it is in the house.

So the other day I figured he was just doing his usual strip down to the diaper. Then he took it off and said "Bathroom" and went to sit on the toilet. He has been sitting on it whenever he decides to and thinks he is such a big boy!

He's getting so rowdy and wants to wrestle around with whoever is available. And even if you aren't available and ready, you might get tackled anyway.

He's such a sport! He goes along with most of his sister's wishes. He came running out of her bedroom like this yesterday.

He is a busy little guy! All boy and so much fun! And about to turn two! How in the world?

Even though I'm exhausted, he adds a lot of life to this house and I wouldn't have it any other way!
