This past weekend was the tree lighting downtown.
It's always the first weekend in December and
in such a small town, it's a big thing!
It was cold so we didn't stay for the whole night.
There is a nativity scene, light displays, choirs singing, food, carriage rides, and everyone in town seems to be there.
It's a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
We took a carriage ride (minus Big Sis who was hanging out with a friend)
We did make sure we got her in our family picture though!
(Yes, she is taller than me now!)
The most exciting part of the night for the little ones was the bus ride to and from the parking lot to the event. Curly-Q loved it! She always wants to "ride the school bus and go to high school" so having an actual school bus there was a great surprise!
He was pretty mesmerized by the bus too!
We had a fun night making memories as a family.
