{ The Weekend }

We've had a weekend full of fall activities!
Well, a fall weekend that felt kind of like winter.
We carved our pumpkin Saturday afternoon.
Curly was not sure what to think of the inside of the pumpkin.

I pulled all of the insides out and Jonathan picked some seeds out for us to bake.

And AJ always gets the honor of carving the face.
We went with a very simple face this year.

Saturday night, we went to a fall party at a friend's house. We ate chili and sat around the fire to keep warm. There were a lot of kids there and they all had a lot of fun running around together and playing.

There were a couple crafts for the kids to do which were really cute. Curly was very serious about painting her pumpkin. It had MANY layers of paint on it and was multi-colored.

We decided to let the boy skip the painting project. Instead he colored and used stickers which he was perfectly content doing.

Sunday morning we went to church. Our pastor has been doing a Courageous series based on the movie and the Courageous Living study. It has been really great and especially good for the men in our church. It is wonderful to see so many men recommit (or maybe commit for the first time) to let God lead them so they can be better equipped to lead their families. It's been a blessing to see so many men's hearts touched and to see them make a stand to be better fathers and husbands.

Sunday evening, we had a church picnic at the pumpkin patch.
AJ spent her time playing cornhole.
Check out the form!

Curly played in the bounce house and on the slide the entire time!

And the little guy ran around the pumpkin patch and played in the dirt.

Such a busy weekend!
Some fun ways to celebrate the end of October.
