{ Father's Day }

Psalm 127:5
The Message Bible

Don't you see that children are God's best gift?
The fruit of the womb his generous legacy?
Like a warrior's fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children!

Jonathan took a nap after church on Father's Day and then we grilled some steaks and chicken. Dinner was really good!

Jonathan loves the show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on Food Network.  We got him Guy Fieri's cookbook for Father's Day. There are some crazy recipes in it! Sophia loved looking through it during the days leading up to Father's Day and had a hard time keeping it a secret.

Jonathan said he's going to do the same thing they did on the movie Julie & Julia and cook a recipe a day from this cookbook. Sounds great to me! That means 150 days of no cooking for me!

I am so blessed to have Jonathan as my husband and I'm so thankful that our children have a wonderful Dad. A Dad who is involved. A Dad who wants to be active in their lives. A Dad who even cares about the little things. And especially a Dad who is a Godly example. I'm so thankful for the three influential men we have in our life, Jonathan, my Dad, and my Father-in-law. We are truly blessed!

I know this is a couple days late, but Happy Father's Day, you three! And Happy Birthday to my Dad! We love you and are thankful that God chose YOU to be a part of our lives.
