On Mother's Day, Jonathan got up with the little ones and I got to sleep in a little bit. Hooray for that! When I got up, Curly (and her Daddy) had made homemade pecan waffles and bacon for me for breakfast. The waffles were great and she was so proud of herself!
{And I completely forgot to take a picture!}
We didn't go to church because Curly had been sick the day before and I could tell I was coming down with something. They did take me out to lunch though. So by noon, I had eaten plenty for the day!
In the afternoon, I went to Kohl's (alone!) and looked for some summer clothes and shoes. We spent the rest of the day relaxing at home.
That afternoon Curly told me I should "uh-lax" so I laid down on the couch. She covered me up with her comforter, brought me one of her blankies to cuddle up with, and some of her books to read. I guess I looked way too comfortable because she had to get on the couch with me. Jonathan got out the camera and took some pictures of us on the couch and pretending to sleep. They aren't great pictures but I really love them.
I really wish we'd have taken more pictures that day! I especially wanted one of me with my three children. But the photographer was too busy "uh-laxing" that day!
I am so thankful for my three children and so happy to be their Mom. This is the life I thought I'd never have!
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
and He will give you the desires and the secret petitions of your heart!
